Following guide will describe how to set NIC IP address in your Host PC.

This article focus is to provide a checking process to avoid network communication problems with D400e cameras.

There are 3 different ways to set up an IP address

Our recommendation, when using the D400e cameras is:

  • Use a static or LLA in case the camera is connected directly to the NIC.
  • For connections through a switch is better to use the DHCP type of address.

It is possible to assign a static IP address to the NIC that falls within the LLA address range. This will have the benefit that the cameras will normally boot right up on the correct subnet and therefore "Force IP" will be avoided
Note: make sure to set an IP address on that lies on the same subnet as the camera IP address settings

Dynamic (DHCP)

This is usually the default setting, as long as any other configuration is not performed.
Its important to highlight that a DHCP sever providing these addresses should be available in the network.
