D400e cameras can synchronize streams to an external event, however the frequency of external event is not known and frames can arrive at different times.
Syncer Mode can be used to ensure a synchronized frameset is formed and received, rather than the latest available frames. Please refer to FRAMOS_D400e_UserManual, section 8.8.9 for details.
Note many effects can be caused by not receiving a synchronized frameset, for example depth image appears "blurry"; frame timestamps repeated, delayed or out-of-sync; issue in RGB/Depth alignment etc.
